Annual Real Estate Retreat
The 2008 Annual Real Estate Retreat is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 4:00-11:00 PM at Baen's Ranch. As always, the retreat promises tons of fun, a bonfire, ranch tours, food, and a chance to meet new contacts and renew old ones. For further information, please refer to Annual Retreat webpage.

Executives to visit Campus
In Spring 2007, UNT alumni executives visited campus to share their testimonials about success in life and in their careers to current real estate students.
Homecoming Real Estate Alumni Tailgating
Homecoming Real Estate Alumni Tailgate Party is on Saturday November 19, 2005 from 3pm to kickoff at Fouts Field in the Big Green Tent next to the COBA tent in the Mean Green Village. The tailgate includes an awesome, fun barbeque party with a keg prior to the 2005 Homecoming game of UNT vs Louisiana-Monroe.For further information, please consult the 2005 Homecoming webpage.
Annual Real Estate Retreat
The Annual Real Estate Retreat at Baen's Ranch was Friday, October 21, 2005 from 3:30 pm until dark. The Retreat included tons of fun, a fire, a fishing tournament, ranch tours, food, and a chance to meet new contacts and renew old ones.
Commercial Sporting Clay Shoot
The Fourth Annual CCIM Commercial Sporting Clay Shoot took place on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Lewisville Shooting and Club House. Clay shoot along with dinner and an auction was attended by Alumni and fifteen Students from noon to 8 p.m.
Social/ Business Pizza Meeting
A Social/ Business meeting to kickoff the 2005 school year with the UNT Real Estate Club was on September 20, 2005. 145 people attended and 25 pizzas were provided by Alumni. Thank you Alumni!
Appreciation Dinner
The Alumni Association hosted the first ever Alumni Appreciation Dinner earlier this year at the Las Colinas Country Club. Dr. John Baen gave an exceptional speech regarding the current state of the real estate industry and then opened the floor for all in attendance to discuss their views on the specific sector of real estate that they work within. Garrett Reed ('99) of Main on Main Development was awarded the Alumni Associations "Outstanding Alumnus of the Year" award for his successful impact in retail property development. Many other awards and recognitions were given to those who have helped support UNT's real estate program and build the Alumni Association.
UNT Alumni in Las Vegas, NV
Several UNT Alumni gathered together at the International Council of Shopping Centers Annual Convention in Las Vegas earlier this year. The Las Vegas ICSC convention is the largest real estate convention in the United States focusing on retail real estate. Tony Bowen ('94) and his company, Land Capital Group hosted a UNT Happy Hour at the Las Vegas Hilton. Several UNT Alumni and friends of UNT enjoyed telling stories about their favorite real estate deals and about how much money they won gambling at the casinos.
Sally Beauty Company Tour
The UNT Real Estate Club was invited to tour the new Sally Beauty Company headquarters in Denton, TX. James Morgan, Director of Real Estate for Sally, was the host of the evening and did an excellent job of explaining how Sally's real estate program operates. Several UNT Alumni who are also current or former Sally employees were on hand to discuss how their work with Sally's has helped elevate their careers. Afterwards, Dr. Baen treated the entire group to a steak dinner at the nearby Texas Roadhouse. Many thanks to Baen, the UNT Real Estate Club, and to Sally Beauty Company for this great event.
